VINTAGE HALLOWEEN POSTCARD WHITNEY CAT AND MICE WITH GHOST RISING FROM PUMPKIN

A vintage Whitney Halloween postcard which features a black cat wearing a green witch's hat and broom in paws standing next to a pumpkin that has a ghostly figure rising up from inside. It is a night time scene with a full moon rising in the background behind the trees. There is a mouse who has propped a ladder against the pumpkin, though we think it may have second thoughts about climbing up as its friend appears to be running away and two other mice appear to be frightened at the sight of the ghost as well. The wording on the front of this vintage postcard reads as follows: Now Halloween of course may mean Things very weird and ghost like; I wish it meant an evening spent with you - that's what I'd most like.
